The government has published a new consultation on flexible working today: Making flexible working the default – GOV.UK.
Susan Clews, Acas Chief Executive, said:
"We welcome the government's flexible working consultation published today. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has opened up an overdue conversation around where, when and how we work.
"Our own poll found that over half of employers in Great Britain expect an increase in demand for flexible forms of working after the country comes out of the pandemic.
"We look forward to contributing to the consultation and continuing our work with the government's Flexible Working Taskforce to better understand and support different ways of working."
Acas has produced new advice for employers on hybrid working, one form of flexible working.
